Terms & Conditions

The following conditions apply to all Hibiscus Travel services:


Credit cards: All prices quoted reflect a 4 percent discount for purchases made with cash or check. There are no discounts for sales made with credit cards.

Travel Insurance: For US citizens Hibiscus travel has arranged for a comprehensive passenger protection program that provides health and baggage insurance, together with other benefits and travel cancellation and interruption insurance. The travel insurance cost is based on the cost and duration of your trip.   Travel Insurance for Mexican citizens cannot be sold in the U.S.  Please call us for details.

Deposits: Hibiscus Travel requires a non-refundable deposit of $500 per person at the time of booking. Deposits must be received within 10 days of booking to hold your reservation. The balance is due 45 days prior to departure. Other suppliers may require additional deposits.

Late Bookings: Provided we have received full payment from your travel agent, bookings will be accepted up to 7 days before departure. While we do not charge late fees, we must pass on extraordinary charges such as express delivery service fees.

Modifications: For each change made after your original booking request, a service charge of $25 is made. If final documents have already been prepared, an additional $50 will apply.

Cancellations: If a confirmed booking is cancelled within 45 days of departure, we will retain the deposit and pass on any additional fees imposed by hotels and other service providers

Refunds: Due to the high cost of handling and processing, no refunds will be made for any unused portion of the tour if you amend or delete any arrangements once travel has commenced. Signed statements from hotels, drivers or tour operators stating that a refund is in order must be received by us within 30 days of the tour's termination.

Please consult us as most countries require visas.

Tour Planning: Quotations are subject to increase without notice prior to departure due to foreign exchange rate fluctuations. Since the tour price includes costs associated with planning, communications, administration and operations, an itemization of costs will not be provided under any circumstances.

Not Included: Passport or visa fees, excess baggage charges, express mail fees, U.S. or foreign departure taxes, laundry or any other items of a personal nature.

Hibiscus Travel regards a passenger's payment for a tour as evidence that he/she is agreeable to all terms and conditions stated in this notice.

Amendments: Hibiscus Travel reserves the right to amend any or all of the foregoing conditions with prior written consent.


Hotels: Charges are assessed on the basis of two people sharing a twin-bedded room with private bath and/or shower. The right is reserved to substitute hotels where necessary. Room taxes are included unless otherwise noted.

Transfers: By private car, taxi or motor coach from the first meeting, ending with transfer to airport of departure. Baggage handling is included for two normal pieces of luggage per person.

Air Travel: All travelers must abide by the conditions of contract outlined on their airline tickets.

Meals: No meals are included unless otherwise specified.


Hibiscus Travel, Inc., a California Corporation, located in Los Angeles,  acts only as agent for the passenger in regard to travel, whether by road, air, sea or by any mode of transportation or local conveyance, and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of any tour. Hibiscus Travel accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, strike, war, quarantine, pilferage, monetary crisis, political or social unrest, labor problems, climatic aberrations, local law, disease or any act of God. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger as tour rates provide for arrangements only as stated in the final itinerary. All prices quoted are based on confidential tariffs from suppliers and exchange rates in effect at the time of the quotation. All tour prices are subject to revision without prior notice, increases or decreases due to changes in airfare, regulations, land arrangements, and costs or currency fluctuations will be passed on to the passenger in all cases. The right is reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a passenger on any tour. Baggage is at owner's risk entirely. The airlines concerned and their agents and affiliates are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not onboard their aircraft. The passenger ticket in use by said airlines, when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of these tickets and/or passenger. Passengers electing to take advantage of sporting equipment offered by some hotels do so at own risk. Hibiscus Travel, Inc. will not accept any responsibility while such equipment is in use by the passenger.
